Hot Retreading Technology

Hot retreading of old tyre is use rubber without high pressure forming cover on the grinding surface of tyre cap, then have high temperature vulcanization. Because the tyre need be retreaded under high temperature for a long time, so the hot retreading have a big damage on the tyre body, in most time, tyre only can be retreaded one times then life is finished.The recapped layer ofthe retreaded tyre easy to break away. Also, hot retreading technology only can be applied on bias tyre so hot treading technology has been out of the door of market.

Cool Retreading Technology

Cool retreading technology is most popular in the worldwide now. Use hight pressure forming vulcanization tyre cap and cover packet protection to vulcanize, the temperature only around 100 ℃, so the temperature is far from the temperature used in hot retread.One tyre can be retreaded 5~6 times and more size tyre can be vulcanize in for times.Meanwhile, cool retreading can recap both the bias tyre and radial steel tyre.The performance of cool retreading tyre is much better than hot retread tyre.

Market Research

According to cost analysis, 7 gallon crude oil be consumed for producing one new tyre, however, only 2 gallon crude oil be consumed for retreading the same size tyre. In the developed countries of Europe and USA, the trye tretread started at 70’s of last century and get strongly support of they government for economize resource and environment protection, one tyre must be retreaded 5~6 times till the old tyre have no value to retread.

In the truck servicing market of EU, 57% market on tyre is occupied byretread tyre and 53% in USA.

The cost of a new tyre is main on the tyre body( the tyre body occupy about80% of the total cost of a new tyre), however, in most of time, the abrasion of a tyre is the tyre cap, in this case, the cost for retread tyre only around 20% of a new tyre cost.So set up a trye retread production factory have very good market.
